Cambodia News: The rise and fall of Socheata: Many people were unpleasantly surprised when it was discovered that a "beautiful young woman[sic]" working as a sales person and businesswoman, was in fact, a cheat and a scammer. Unbelievably, Suon Socheata went from selling street food to running shops selling goods worth thousands of dollars, simply by using photo-shopped pictures, company names, and fake credit to gain trust. However, when it came time to deliver the goods, she did not honor the agreements that she signed.

According to a victim, who was a furniture seller with a Facebook page called Takara Furniture, they decided to expose Socheata Soun for her scam. The victim warned others by saying, "Please be careful. A girl named Suon Socheata, who used a picture and held an ID card like the one below, took on the name of Company 1...to apply for furniture credit from us for a total price of $4395. She promised to pay within 10 days but did not meet the deadline. She later admitted that she had deceived us and proposed a payment contract spanning 2 months with a monthly payment of $2197.5. In the contract, the first payment was supposed to be made on 30/08, but she did not fulfill her part."

The owner of the furniture store, the aforementioned victim, posted: "I have decided to share this publicly to raise awareness and take legal action against fraud. Thank you all for sharing and not supporting fraud."

Unfortunately, this young woman named Suon Socheata not only deceived the furniture store owner but also cheated many other victims by borrowing money and not repaying it. She would also deceive people by reselling food and expensive supplies without paying for them.

One of Socheata's victims shared: "She owes me money for over a year's worth of fried frogs. I also used to sell coconut juices, and she asked to resell them once a week, claiming she had an outlet for selling them. It turned out to be a scam. The amount may not be significant for her, but it is a lot of money for me. I work tirelessly in front of fire and even while pregnant. I curse her every day."

It is important to note that there are many other victims who have also been deceived by this cunning woman.
