Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On 27/09/2023 at 21:50, a fatal traffic accident which occurred along Russian Federation Road, Prey Tea 2 Village, Sangkat Choam Chao 3, Khan Por Sen Chey, resulted in one fatality and two serious injuries when a car collided with a parked tuktuk. An unidentified male believed to be around 13 years old, was killed in the accident.
The following individuals sustained injuries:
1. Chhorn Chantho, a 46-year-old man
2. Chan Thai, an 11-year-old boy

Seak Wutty, a 29-year-old man, was driving the Highlander car with license plate Phnom Penh 2AT7065 and has been arrested by the police.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that prior to the accident, the victim, who owned the tuk-tuk, had parked it on the sidewalk to provide motorcycle rides for guests. The victims were sitting there talking; when suddenly the Highlander approached from the south at high speed, swerved, and hit the tuktuk, killing one person at the scene and injuring two others.

The driver of the car was immediately seized by local people and transferred to the authorities, who have taken the man for questioning. The body of the deceased is awaiting collection by relatives for funeral proceedings, while the injured individuals have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
