This seems to be a controversial opinion in the West (though all my Khmer colleagues agree with me) but I think male pederasts who harm young boys should be given even harsher sentences for potentially creating a new generation of pederasts who'll go on to perpetuate the legacy they were given (unlike female rape victims, who generally do not do this), thus creating *that* much more societal harm.

Hopefully this monster will face extra charges for production of child pornography as well, then be extradited to Switzerland and serve his sentence all over again. 7-15 years is far too lenient (all my Western colleagues agree with me).

Tbh I don't know anywhere in the world that has adequate sentencing for crimes against children, for some fucked up reason. My own country Australia is fuckin shit for, I'm reminded of the sentencing in the Tialeigh Palmer case, which I'm still disgusted and angry at the QLD government for today. So at least he has the possibility of two sentences, which he surely wouldn't outlive. I hope Switzerland does that, anyone know?truffledog wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 1:29 pmSWitzerland prisons are fare from beeing adequate punishment for such a crime. Switzerland prisons are fare too luxurious for such a hefty crime. Clean cell, good foood, 5 star health cover.siliconlife wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 2:06 pmTbh I don't know anywhere in the world that has adequate sentencing for crimes against children, for some fucked up reason. As for "justice" in Switzerland: at the moment there is a huge church sexual abuse case pending going nowhere..therefore other offenders of the same may get treated with gloves too.
PS: a Swiss man who abused this daughter and her best friend for many years got sentenced to 6 years in Switzerland. Not very appropriate for my taste.
