Penalties for foreigners taking drugs
If foreigners get caught/arrested for taking drugs (not selling) In Cambodia, even small quantities what are the penalties repercussions they usually receive? What proportion actually end up being sent to prison, and how long are the sentences usually?
Also if some avoid prison by paying bribes how much do they usually have to pay. Does anyone know specific examples of foreigners who have gone to prison?
My wife and i are having an argument about this as she says foreigners dont get sent to prison but that sounds totally untrue, but i dont know much about Cambodia and would appreciate input from wiser more knowledgeable people on this forum. Mainly so i can say I told you so lol! Many Thanks!

Your wife is right. Not a single foreigner has ever been sent to a Cambodian prison, for any crime. Just have her know that, in the unlikely event she doesn't behave, you'll consider having a divorce Italian style for that very reason.
Re: Penalties for foreigners taking drugs
Foreigners generally do not get sent to prison for using drugs. Might have to pay a fine though depending on how you got caught and with what / how much.
If they believe you're selling however there will be no shortage of other foreigners to hang out with while serving your time.

Yes, the cops will arrest you for being an ice head & will release you again if you have money and if not you would probably fetch up in the monkey house/prison

Could be, or just someone in a different timezone inquiring about Cambodian drug laws because it's an interesting conversation to have with missus over dinner, or while cuddling after sex.Jerry Atrick wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 7:39 amConsidering he asked the question at 1am and was still online at 7am we are dealing with an ice head in all likelihoodItWasntMe wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 7:18 am Foreigners generally do not get sent to prison for using drugs. foreigners get busted and usually pay a "fine" if they have the $$$< if not they go to jail , same as everyone

I wouldn't worry too much about cops if you're not poor... Worry more about not getting got by your dealer.

As a foreigner, you're not obliged to take any drug test., and you should not cooperate .
