Cambodia News Banteay Meanchey: Commissioner of Banteay Meanchey Provincial Police, Major General Sithi Loh, announced on 10/09/2023 that the Anti-Drug Police Force had arrested three Thai suspects for drug trafficking. They will face court and be punished according to the law.

He said that on 08/09/2023 at 7:30 pm, after receiving information from residents reporting suspected drug trafficking at Palilei 1 Village, Sangkat O'Chrov, Poipet City, the Anti-Drug Bureau swooped down on this location and arrested the three suspects.

1. Kru Chab, male, 38 years old (previously imprisoned for 20 months for drug trafficking),
2. Mil Villani Thong Thap, female, 40 years old,
3. Mong Kut Horm Phana, male, 28 years old (previously imprisoned for 20 months for rape).

According to Deputy Commissioner Brigadier General Thin Sindeth, the police force also seized the following items:

1. 13 bags of white gram powder (ice) weighing 15.0 grams
2. 6 bags of dried marijuana weighing 2,158.81 grams (total weight of both bags)
3. scales
4. Bags for drug storage
5. 1 bag ironing machine
6. 18 bottles of liquid medicine
7. 2 electronic cigarettes
8. 2 passports
9. 2 mobile phones
10. 1 border card
11. 3 Thai national ID cards
12. Equipment for smoking drugs
13. Equipment for smoking marijuana

The suspects are now awaiting trial for their crimes.
