Bangkok Go-Go Bars - Business Models Evolving

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

when I was in Kuta Bali back in 2018 ate at a seafood restaurant. menu outside listed the prices and it looked very affordable. Bill came there was a 11% service charge and than on top of that 10% Tax. When i inquired about this the service lady showed me, on the back page, in small print, 22% tax & service charge added

Agoda pisses me off an one reason why i refuse to use them as they list a low price when you search for a room an compare it to Booking.com and it looks cheaper BUT than when u book the room there is an added tax/service charge which than , in most cases, Makes it more than booking.com

Its just deceptive BUT...
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

It's all about the small print, as long as it there - all is legal. In the States gas stations have these foot-square signs pegged into the lawn space outside advertising a percentage off gas purchase - under this awesome offering are the terms in very very tiny print. Looks like a blue while driving by.
