Re: Bangkok Go-Go Bars - Business Models Evolving
when I was in Kuta Bali back in 2018 ate at a seafood restaurant. menu outside listed the prices and it looked very affordable. Bill came there was a 11% service charge and than on top of that 10% Tax. When i inquired about this the service lady showed me, on the back page, in small print, 22% tax & service charge added
Agoda pisses me off an one reason why i refuse to use them as they list a low price when you search for a room an compare it to Booking.com and it looks cheaper BUT than when u book the room there is an added tax/service charge which than , in most cases, Makes it more than booking.com
Its just deceptive BUT...

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

It's all about the small print, as long as it there - all is legal. In the States gas stations have these foot-square signs pegged into the lawn space outside advertising a percentage off gas purchase - under this awesome offering are the terms in very very tiny print.
