Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A workshop making wooden tables and chairs was completely destroyed by fire, causing a surprise at 22:00 on September 8, 2023 in the village of Boa Angkanh, Sangkat Prek Eang, Khan Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh.

According to sources from the people near the scene, before the incident the workshop was locked and empty of people, when suddenly a fire broke out, so they forced the locks and fetched water to help put out the flames, but the fire did not subside, only got bigger and bigger, as the furniture burned inside the building.

Professional officers, including fire trucks of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police and other relevant units then intervened at the above location to spray water to extinguish the flames. After careful intervention, the competent authorities were able to control the situation 100%, taking more than an hour and using a total of 29 fire trucks to extinguish the flames.

It should be noted that the fire did not cause any injuries or endanger life, and did not spread to other homes. The reason for the original fire outbreak can not be confirmed yet.
