According to a press release issued on 31/08/2023, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior confirmed that there was flooding on the 5th floor of the new building of the Ministry of Interior which occurred on 30/08/2023 at 11:00am. The construction committee took immediate action and managed the problem in a timely manner without causing any risk.
They also discovered that an unidentified person had taken the opportunity at the end of working hours to open the water pipe for emergencies (in case of fire), causing the water to flow out. Furthermore, the flooding was filmed, but it is not yet known who leaked the video.

According to the conclusion of the building construction committee, this case is not due to the technical characteristics of the construction, but may have been caused by the malicious intent of a person who is not happy with the fine achievements of the management of the new building construction committee. This person has tarnished the reputation of the building construction commission.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior would also like to point out that although the security cameras are not yet fully equipped, the construction commission is continuing the search for the identity of the person who broke into the plumbing and the person who leaked the video. The Ministry of Interior will take action according to the law and apply the discipline according to the statute of the National Police.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior would like to thank all the media and the public from all walks of life who have always cooperated, supported and closely monitored the work of the Ministry of Interior.
