This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. John Bingham wrote: Thu Aug 31, 2023 5:55 pm There's a row of small showrooms on the road off Russian Blvd towards Eden Garden. It has an Aston Martin showroom, and one for Lamborghini, Maserati, McClaren...loads of other showrooms around the city that have a crazy amount of luxury cars but these are specific dealerships.
I see plenty tooling around town, too: Ferraris, Mercs, and the most expensive Range Rovers by the dozen...

Curiously, about three months ago, end of March, the official Mercedes-Benz dealer/importer, "Star auto", quit Cambodia due to the oversupply of gray market automobiles... these are not covered by Mercedes-Benz's warranty and consequently are sold cheaper than Star's... now, there is an "official service" agent for Mercs, (RMA), but no authorized dealer...so far as I know...

As to Aston Martin... why don't they open a firetruck dealership next door to compensate for the global warming they are causing?

The don't make a profit of note on the sale of the car, its all in the servicing. Think of them like HP inkjet printers. Buy a printer for $100 then pay a kings ransom for ink refills :)
You know that tingly little feeling you get when you really like someone? That's common sense leaving your body.

But I can go to Curry's or go on Amazon and get ink cartridges delivered the same day.

If your Aston blows a motherboard chip number 73a, or, more likely, someone ploughs into your rear end and you need various inner and outer panels, plus mountings, fixings and paint etc etc.... how long will it take to get the parts?

Plus you've got to get them fitted, correctly. It must be like taking a jet turbine engine to Kwik-Fit.

I assume that servicing a few cars per year (thats how many AM there are at the mo in KOW) is not enoug to break even. There is no single garage that can service all the supercar brands, too much special tools, software and knowledge involved.
work is for people who cant find truffles
