Re: I hate Australia
As an American who visited Australia just once, I would agree. Great weather and food and friendly people. I had a great time.Random Dude wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 12:56 pmJust out of curiosity, what is it Brits don't like about Aussie? I understand if it's the people - Aussies have a culture that apparently pisses other nationalities off sometimes, although I've never had any problems with them - but the country itself... I've been there, thought it was great.xandreu wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 12:26 pmA few years back, a whole group of my (British) family - about 10 of them - went to visit another small branch of our family who'd moved out to Australia in the 90s.Khmu Nation wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 12:26 am I went to Australia intending to stay for up to six months. I left after 10 days. It's like a shit version of England on the edge of a desert. Plus the people are arseholes. What an over rated dump. Never again
Funnily enough, they all came back saying pretty much the same thing. In fact, my fathers very words upon his return were "Imagine how shit the UK is, now imagine something even shitter".
Only downsides I encountered was the high price and dick headed police (minor incident).

Today I have this urgent need to say something and I'm sorry if it upsets someone. There, enough said.

Re: I hate Australia
yeah, remember in those border security shows this was seen as a bit of red flag.Tootsfriend wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 4:28 pm One time I even traveled with no carry on bag and they kept me waiting for 4 hours incase someone else was carrying my baggage.
also be be aware your travel history can effect you, so it may have created a red flag on your passport, i.e. once you have Pakistani Visa Stamp you will often have to go through more checks and scrutiny whilst visiting other country's.

Re: I hate Australia
I've never been to oz but the ones I've met outside of their country have usually been great fun to hang out with. counter this with the almost opposite for Americans. ive met a few outside of the states, obviously they arnt huge travellers in the way aussies and kiwis are but the ones who do manage to find the international terminal of the airport are almost always twats. loud, abrasive, rude the list goes on. Americans who i meet in America are on the whole great people.
so im in no great rush to go to Australia, as i suspect its full of dickheads.
P.S. on my last trip to cambodia i did meet one aussie guy who was possibly one of the biggest wankers ive ever met, he was the special forces type, him and an english guy also ex special forces, strangely enough, were sat near me in a bar across from helicopter bar 136 area. at first they were quite happy wanking each other off and filling each other with bull shit stories, but as they got more beers down their necks they wanted to involve other people in their conversation.
i dont know if it was some karmaedic payback for some past sin but this went on all day. every bar i went into i got saddled with another black opps twat. in the end i gave up and went to bed early.

Please don't confuse my personality with my attitude. The former is me, the latter a reflection of you.
