Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the morning of August 22, 2023, the Anti-Drug Department of the General Commission of the National Police held a press conference to present the authorities' results of a crack down on a major illegal drug trafficking operation, with the arrest of two Thai traffickers and the confiscation of more than 100 kilograms of ketamine.

Lt. Gen. Director of the Anti-Drug Department said that the operation consisted of three targeted raids; the first one took place at Prey Kei village, Khan Kampoul, Phnom Penh, with the arrest of Se Her Thanat, 29, Montagnard, Thai nationality, where police seized 10 pieces of drugs packaged as tea.
The second raid was at house No. 350, concrete road, Kraing Dauntei village, Sangkat Choam Chao 2, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh where 9 gold packets of tea containing drugs were found.

Then the biggest drug haul was made in the third raid on house No. 2BC, Street 107, Kbal Damrey Village, Sangkat Ka Kap 2, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh, the residence of a drug dealer named Se Her Somchai, a 32-year-old Montagnard, a Thai national.
Cambodian officers seized:
1. 56 pieces of gold tea packages.
2. 42 green tea packages.

A total of 117 pieces were confiscated by the Drug Squad, of 1 kilo a piece, weighing a total of 117 kilograms, which tested positive for ketamine.
