Cambodian News Battambang: On 16th August 2023 at 2:20pm, a case of intentional violence with aggravating circumstances occurred at Group 3, Po 2 Village, Kear Commune, Maung Russey District, Battambang Province, when two youths, Touch Panha (18 years old, male, driving the motorbike) and Sal Samnang Web (16 year old, male, armed with a sword riding behind him), assaulted a 16-year-old male victim named Hoeup, causing injuries to his right forearm and a broken bone.

The victim was standing by the road when he was attacked with a sword by the two youths on a black Honda C125. The injuries were severe and he was sent to the Battambang Provincial Referral Hospital.

The reason behind the violence was that one of the attackers was jealous of the victim's girlfriend. The district police have already prepared a case for Touch Panha, who has been arrested,and will send it to the specialized office to follow legal procedure. Meanwhile officers are searching for Sal Samnang, who is still at large.
