Cambodia Bring Home Medal Harvest
Cambodia News (Thailand) On 14 November 2022 the Ministry of Information announced that Cambodia won a total of 7 medals in the 4th Asian Petanque Championships which was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 10 - 14 November 2022.

Ms. Kin Samnang, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Bowls and Petanque Federation, confirmed that the medals won by the Cambodian Petanque team were in 7 fields, including:
3 gold medals:
- won in the under-18 youth category by Ath Uth Duong Khe;
- Men's Big Set, won by Thong Chhoeun;
- Men's 3 vs 3 by Thong Chhoeun, Yim Sophorn, Sao Sophearan and Tip Nora,
Two silver medals:
- won by Un Sreyya, Ouk Srey Mom, Khuon Yari and U Davin in three-on-three women's segment,
Two bronze medals
- won by Pheap Pakin, Uth Sokchea, Hak Srey Nuth and Noch Sokhemarak in the three-on-three under-18 segment,
- Men's 3 vs. 3 by Heng Sou Mean, Sin Vong, Nhem Bora, and Puth Yon Chandara.

In addition to gold, silver and bronze medals, a total of seven disciplines won by the Cambodian Petanque team, the Cambodian Petanque team also won a trophy in the three-on-three under-18 youth category, which is an incentive competition.

It should be noted that the Bowls and Petanque Federation of Cambodia has sent a delegation of 27 coaches and players led by HE Sum Socheat, Vice President of the Bowls and Petanque Federation of Cambodia to participate in the 4th Asian Petanque Championships.

Cambodian petanque coaches and athletes return home this evening from a competition in Thailand with a warm welcome from H.E. Sok Sokan, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction and President of the Federation of Boules and Petanque of Cambodia.

Cambodia Bags a Gold Medal from 5th Asian Petanque Championship

Cambodia grabbed a gold medal from the 5th Asian Petanque Championship being held in Malaysia on Aug. 18.


Cambodian petanque national player, Ms. Un Sreya, got the gold medal in Women’s Shooting event after defeating her Malaysian counterpart.
At the same time, another Cambodian national player Mr. Thong Chhoeun obtained a bronze medal in Men’s Shooting event.


A Cambodian delegation of 22 members left here on Aug. 16 for Malaysia for the 5th Asian Petanque Championship which includes Men, Women and Junior Triple and Shooting competitions.
Hosted by Malaysian Boules Sports Federation, the regional sport event has been taking place from Aug. 16 to 21, 2023 at the Arena Petanque Kuala Lumpur.
