Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): It has been reported that at 1:30am on August 14, 2023, along the corner of Street 484 and Street 99 in Sangkat Phsar Doeum Thkov, bordering Sangkat Boeung Trabek in Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh, a policeman named Mr. Huth Kong, Deputy Inspector of Chamkar Mon District, committed drunken acts of violence against the driver of a Toyota Prius.

According to the victim, Kong Sambath, prior to the incident, he was driving his black Toyota Prius (with license plate Phnom Penh 2BV-5390), when at the intersection of Road 484, his car hit the wall of a house and slightly damaged it. He intended to keep driving, but suddenly a man known as the Deputy Inspector of Chamkarmon district, Huth Kong, rode up on a black PCX motorcycle (with license plate Phnom Penh 1JN-8247) and forced him to pull over and stop the Prius. He said he got out of the car and was engaged in an argument before being punched in the jaw by the policeman which made him fall over. There was a scuffle, and the intoxicated Deputy Inspector then beat him unconscious, put handcuffs on him, and disappeared.

Police are now searching for the owner of the PCX motorcycle, known to be the Deputy Inspector of Chamkar Mon District named Huot Kong, asking him to come to the police station for questioning. He is wanted on charges of violence and his superiors have promised that he will be dealt with according to the law.
