Long term Visa renewal

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Post by JohnBrigham »

Is anyone able to provide accurate information about being able to renew a long term Visa at the Ha Tien border and if possible the cost.
Been getting conflicting information.

you cant renew any visa at any border<
you can get a new one and get an extension when the 30 days of the visa is almost up

in Kampot the 1 year extension runs $300 at Billabong's
no such thing as long term visa
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

True for most but long term visas does exist.

Japanese citizens can get 3 year visa at border.

As PR said, you can only get Visas on Arrival at border entry points, you then need to apply for your Extension of Stay via a Visa Agency or directly at the DoI Visa Office in PP, EOS's are not available at borders.

@Albror....Japanese, Chinese and South Korean passport holders can get 1, 2, 3 year Visas on Arrival, however for these Visas to actually be valid for 1, 2, 3 years they still need to apply for the relevant Extension of Stay to the Visa.

In addition to The Billabong Guesthouse, there's also Pheara Visa Travel & Tour.

I may be going to hell in a bucket,
but at least I'm enjoying the ride.
