Movies at The Empire - Current Schedule

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

How many seats in the Empire cinema? Has anybody been there? Good movie selection, just wondering what the atmosphere is like inside.

It's good. Alternative - shared mats and cushions at the front for horizontal watching, half a dozen chairs at the back for us traditionalists. They bring you pre-ordered food of a high quality during the movie. Definitely worth a look.

Edit: keep our eyes open for the cat, he's a legend.

Thanks for the positive mention StroppyChops, we're glad you enjoy our place. Yes we have 22 seats of the different types described above, the seating is tiered so you don't miss any of the action and we have good air-conditioning so you can escape the heat. Come and give us a try

lol, i wonder how popular that is though. for expats likely not... we've all seen it or aren't going to. but to draw in tourists i imagine it's a great angle.

the same people who actually pay the tuktuks to take them out to see the skulls and shit.

Bless them, should be more of them.

(Some of us fund our social enterprise on 'shit' like that.)
