Surprise as the locals catch crocodiles for 2 days in a row

Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey): Fishermen on the Serei Sophorn River are very worried after catching crocodiles two days in a row on July 30 and 31, 2023.

According to local sources, a fisherman named Chim Ly, 29 years old, living in Thmey Village, Sangkat Phneat, Serey Sophorn City, Banteay Meanchey Province, found a 4-kilo crocodile in his net on July 30, and then on July 31, 2023, at 6 pm, another fisherman caught another crocodile in the river near the same place. The second crocodile weighs 6 kilograms.

The local fisherman are now too scared to go into the Serei Sophorn River to cast their nets for fish because they fear that there are more crocodiles waiting for them, and the residents on the riverbank are afraid their children might get attacked.
The people have therefore asked the relevant authorities to take action in this case.
