Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): At 8:30 pm on July 28, 2023, a gunman drove a Ford car along the concrete road at the corner of Street 371 in Prek Ta Kong 1 village, Chak Angre Leu commune, Meanchey district, where he pulled out a gun and fired off several shots at a man living there with the gunman's ex-wife.

According to the two victims, there have already been two previous similar incidents, because gunman is angry and jealous that the woman who was his wife for a long time has now left him to live with another man.


At the time of the above incident, the woman's new lover was standing in front of the rented room when the gunman drove down from Street 371 and stopped in front of the victim's room and fired off several shots at him, but fortunately the victim ran inside. The neighbors were shocked by the gunfire and called the police to come down and intervene immediately. Meanwhile, the gunman drove away and disappeared after the shooting.


Later, the local police arrived and took the victim to the Chak Angre Leu Sangkat Administrative Police Station to file a complaint against the gunman and take action according to legal procedures.
