Cambodia News, (Pursat): Police of Krakor District Police Inspectorate arrested a Vietnamese boss who intentionally assaulted his Vietnamese worker, causing serious injuries, on July 17, 2023 in Village 05, Kampong Luong Commune, Krakor District, Pursat Province.

According to the complaint of Le Young Pao, male, 55 years old, the father of the victim, his son Le Young Hong, male, 35 years old, who worked for Nguyen Young Kam, was sitting about 30 meters from Nguyen Young Kam's house having a drinking party with many people at about 8;30 that night. He said that he suddenly saw Nguyen Young Kam slash his son with a samaurai sword in the head, causing serious injuries. Then Kam hid the knife and sat down to drink as if nothing had happened, then he reported the "accident" to the village chief, then watched as the authorities came to intervene.

Colonel Mok Phearum, Inspector of Krakor District Police Inspectorate, said that after the incident, the police intervened and inspected the scene and arrested the suspect, Nguyen Young Kam, 50 years old, male, Vietnamese nationality for questioning, but he refused to admit his guilt. He added that the suspect is currently detained at the Krakor District Police Inspectorate by order of His Excellency Koy Kanya, Prosecutor of Pursat Provincial Court, dated July 17, 2023 at 13:16 to complete the case according to the procedure.
