Cambodia News, (Preah Sihanouk Province): This morning, July 08, 2023,a group of active bag snatchers in Sihanoukville 3 district were sent to the provincial court for legal action, following their arrest and interrogation by police.

On the afternoon of July 6, 2023, Tith Saren, a 38-year-old Cambodian woman, reported that she had her bag snatched on the road in front of Kang Keng International Airport in Thmor Thom village, Ream commune, Prey Nob district. Three unidentified men, riding a black Honda C125 motorcycle without a license plate, seized the woman's handbag and then fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Immediately after receiving this information, Major General Chuon Narin, Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police Commissioner, assigned the specialized force of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police in cooperation with the Prey Nup District Police Force and the Ream Commune Police Station to conduct a thorough search for the thieves. Police stopped the three suspects, who were chased down and arrested after they dumped the motorcycle and ran into the forest.

The three suspects are as follows:
1-Name is Chan Heng, Male, 18 years old, Uncertain occupation, Residence in Preah Sihanouk Province (Snatcher).
2-Name is Kao Yov, Male, 32 years old, Uncertain occupation, Residing in Preah Sihanouk Province (Rider behind).
3-Name is Chan Teng, Male, 31 years old, Unreliable occupation, Residing in Preah Sihanouk Province (Motorcycle driver).


Police confiscated 1 motorcycle, Honda C125, 2014 series, black, no license plate (used in the crime), one bag with two telephones belonging to the victim, and a bag containing 3 mobile phones belonging to the thieves.
