Task Force ECHO23 members arrest suspect after the brutal slaying of Mother and baby in Kompong Spue.
Kompong Spue Police Command arrested a 35yr old male for the brutal killing of a 6mth old baby girl and her mother committed in Kompong Spue on the 26th of June 2023. Police were called to the scene after the bodies of the 2 victims were discovered by family members at about 7am on the 26th of June. CPU Homicide and Forensic teams arrived at the scene and assisted in the examinations.
Investigators were quick to the scene however the suspect had fled. Kompong Spue Police Command and Local Police immediately mounted a manhunt while investigations continued.
As a result, Task Force members arrested a 35 year old male today at 1130am.
This was a horrendous and vicious attack on an innocent baby and her mother. I want to thank all persons involved in this difficult investigation it was a very confronting crime scene. Excellent work by the Cambodian National Police, MOI and Kompong Spue Police Command to apprehend this extremely violent and dangerous individual.

A 38year old mother, or 24years old
2 year old baby, or 6 month old.
Died in or by fire related causes, or some form of knife attack.

Not to mention the dates appear to have a 2 day spread, but pretty immediate investigation.
