A sad fate.

Cambodia News, (Mondulkiri Province): A man, who was the owner of the Salmon and Sushi Bar restaurant in the provincial town of Sen Monorom, Mondulkiri, had a mental crisis and ended his life because he owed a lot of bank debt.

Ly Sok Thea, a 45-year-old Cambodian male, hanged himself in the restaurant after drinking 10 cans of ABC beer and smoking methamphetamine. According to the authorities, the victim owed a lot of money to the bank, and in the shop, they found the empty beer cans and two empty packages of drugs.

The deceased man was discovered by his 29-year-old female employee, at 9 am on June 21, 2023, when she came in to work at the restaurant.
She said that her boss was unhappy, and he had the habit of drinking 10 cans of beer alone in the restaurant at night and was also smoking drugs. She said that he lived alone and stayed inside the restaurant, where he was also living, and hardly ever went out.


After examining the body, and questioning witnesses, the Sen Monorom police technical and scientific team concluded that the owner of the Salmon and Sushi Bar took his own life under the influence of drink and drugs because he was depressed about his debts.
