Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey): On 15 June 2023, the Poipet City Military Police arrested two men in connection with the murder of a Chinese national in a cassava plantation in Prey Kob village, Orussey commune, Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey province.
The victim was identified as SHEN JIANGUO, a 42-year-old Chinese man living in San Ho Borey, located in Kilometer 4 Village, Sangkat Phsar Kandal, Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province.
According to the report of the Poipet City Military Police, the two murder suspects are:
1. ZHOU YONG (aka Martin), male, 43 years old, Chinese
2. LOR LIM HAB, male, 32 years old, Cambodian.
Both of them live in Borey Sok Sreng, located in Kilometer 4 Village, Sangkat Phsar Kandal, Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province.


The pieces of evidence confiscated by the police include:
1. GLOCK-17 pistol, number TSV665 (1 bullet, 05 bullets), belonging to Zhou Yong.
2. K54 pistol, number 29103187 (1 bullet, 07 bullets) belongs to Lor Lim Hab.
Two suspects are currently being held in custody at the Poipet City Gendarmerie Command and a case is being prepared to be sent to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Court for legal action.

Cambodia News, (Poipet): According to later details from local media, the victim, SHEN JIANGUO, was shot through the back of the head and his body was thrown into a ditch on the side of a dirt track on a cassava plantation in O'Russey commune near Poipet city.

Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey): A Chinese national is accused of committing murder at 9:40am on June 15, 2023, at the cassava plantation in Prey Kob village, Orussey commune, Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey province. Two suspects are in custody and the following items were seized by police:
1. Handgun brand K54 No. 29103187 (pay 01 bullet 07 bullets)
2. Weapon brand GLOCK 17 GEN4, number TSV665 (1 bullet, 05 bullets)
3. 2 GLOCK pistol shells.
4. One G-LOCK pistol.
5. 3 K54 pistol bullets.
6. 1 pack of MEVIUS cigarettes.
7. Pay 1 gun at the suspect's rented house in Borey San Ho, located in the village of Kilometer 4, Sangkat Phsar Kandal, Poipet.

Col. Nuon Ninaro said that this case was made following a complaint by the cousin of the victim, plaintiff LI ZHONG GUO, a 43-year-old Chinese man living in Borey San Ho, located in Kilometer 4 Village, Sangkat Phsar Kandal, Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province.

Colonel Nuon Ninaro said that Lor Lim Hab (aka Pros), after questioning, said that at 8:00am on June 15, 2023, the Chinese suspect, ZHOU YONG(Martin), and the victim, SHEN JIANGUO (aka King Kong) left Karaoke (ROYAL) in Poipet City, in a car with him (Lo Lim Hab) as the driver.
At the cassava plantation, Martin stopped the car to smoke and urinate, and then he shot the victim in the back with his K54 pistol. He fired one shot at the victim, causing him to fall to the ground, but he was not dead, so Martin handed him the GLOCK17 and he fired another shot into the back of his head. Then after the victim died, he and Martin dragged the body into a ditch and cut a tree branch to cover it, then drove away.


The suspect, Lor Lim Hab, further stated that ZHOU YONG (alias Martin) owed the victim SHEN JIANGUO (King Kong) a large sum of money, and because he could not pay him, he decided on the plan to take the victim to the cassava plantation and shoot him.
