Gold prices

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Ahh come on General Chatter........please feel free to contact a Cambodian 'jeweler"......wish you good luck, and don't forget.......you got to believe everything he's going to tell you. It's really not that difficult to determin the value of a gold neckless.....you don't have to be a jeweler to do that.
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

lapidarist as well

"the value of a gold neckless"

saudi version of a moto jao?

head cutting as craftsmanship or just a desire not to damage the loot?

i am living in cambo now.
any time.

the blue zircon offers real value and is uniquely cambodian in the deep blues.

regardless of some of the negative opinions expressed in ignorance on this thread, goldwork in cambodia is outstanding value.

Update;

"Bong, I want new moto'!"
"What about your moto?"
"Sister take, pay every month"
"Ort mien loy"
"OK, I sell gold"

The gold was taken back and sold for $10 less (the cost of the making, I suppose). Not a high rewards investment, but safe and looks pretty.
