Re: The Crackdown Continues on Cambodian People Playing Cards
I can only imagine this happening in USA . Lawyers , court dates , fines , probation drug testing if anyone is suspected ..
check ins for over a year for sure
I flaunt all laws here without no more than a possible $12.50 fine , which I always tip double anyway
I love it here

The poor can't play unless someone pays for them to...
Others with foreign passports have no difficulty gambling.
Interesting "two-social-class" system...

Re: The Crackdown Continues on Cambodian People Playing Cards
Shameless!
Cambodia News, (Prey Veng Province): It has been reported by local people that some villagers continue to play gambling games in Roka commune, Pearang district, Prey Veng province, and they are not even afraid of the authorities, because they do not hide their gambling. They gather to play cards openly every day, in front of the house, and next to the road.
Regarding the above issue, Mr. Sum Sarin, Roka Commune Police Chief, when informed by phone on the morning of May 21, 2023, said that in the past he has had to go to the villages of Melop and Tnot to break up card playing there. He said that he has already made the villagers sign contracts to stop playing games for money, but if there are still games going on there, he will immediately go to crack down on them again this afternoon, May 21, 2023.
