Sattahip ( Pattaya) to samui by ferry

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Sattahip ( Pattaya) to samui by ferry

Post by phuketrichard »

not sure this will work but beat the long drive
Providing transportation services for trucks / cars and passengers by having a Roll on Roll off /Passenger vessel, that is cost-effective, giving faster travel times and providing a safer and more relaxing experience than traveling on the road.
Our goal is to promote the weekly sailings between Sattahip and Samui.
The vessel sails every Thursday around 5pm from Chuksamet Naval Port (near Utapao Airport) in Sattahip and sails during the night to arrive in Samui around 8-9am on the Friday morning (obviously weather conditions have a small impact on sailing times).
The vessel berths at 'Nathon Pier' (next to the ‘Seatrans' Ferry Jetty) in Samui. It takes about 30 minutes to safely berth and have the ramp down for vehicles and passengers to disembark. The ferry waits at the jetty until Sunday afternoon. It is available for private events/parties to hire the vessel whilst alongside (both ends) and use the facilities on board. On Sunday afternoon around 4pm the vessel departs back to Sattahip and again sails during the night to arrive early Monday morning around 7.30-8am.

Aboard the vessel are limited rooms (hotel style), Sleeping Capsules x 80 (Japanese style), VIP seating areas (40) similar to aircraft business seats, Economy seating areas (about 250). There is a Sky Deck with seating for about 250 people hosting live music/food and drinks (weather permitting). A large restaurant with dinning and a coffee shop area, together with live music later at night. The vessel can carry about 200 cars or a combination of cars/motorcycles and/or trucks/buses/trailers etc.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST
