Motorcyclist Killed Passing a Badly Lit Tractor

Cambodia News, (BATTAMBANG): A source from Battambang provincial authorities said that a man died suddenly in a traffic accident as he was passing a tractor at night, on National Road 57 at Boeung Ampil village, Battambang province.

Police confirmed that a 34-year-old man named Phorn Muth, was riding a Honda motorbike to overtake a tractor which was driving along the road in the dark with only one small lamp, when tragically, he failed to see the tractor plough, which was much wider than the tractor, causing a fatal crash and the instant death of the motorcyclist.

The owner of the tractor then stopped the tractor on the road and fled the scene and disappeared.
Later on, the competent experts went to assess the accident and handed over the body of the deceased to his family.

Tractor driver should probably be jailed for vehicular manslaughter so he definitely had a motive to leg it

So I have to take my car for an annual check & license, yet all these sodding trucks, tractors, pull carts just seem to kill people daily for the lack of working lights. One of my pet peeves along with grandmas “watching” toddlers by the farm pond.. Grr. KOW
