Russey Keo Bridge Opened for Temporary Use
Russey Keo Bridge Opened for Temporary Use This Morning
AKP Phnom Penh, April 10, 2023 --
The Russey Keo concrete bridge was put into temporary use from April 10 onward, according to Phnom Penh municipal administration’s announcement issued yesterday.
The temporary opening is made under the authorisation of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HE in order to ease the traffic flows and people’s travel during the upcoming Khmer Traditional New Year, the source said.
Constructed by the Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC), a local construction company, at a total cost of US$35 million, the new bridge crossing the Tonle Sap river is located in Khan Chroy Changvar and Khan Russey Keo.
The 642-metre-long and 20.5-metre-wide bridge was broken ground in October 2017 under the presidency of Samdech Techo Prime Minister.
At the same time, the Phnom Penh municipal administration also announced to close down the Bailey bridge, parallel to the Russey Keo cable-stayed concrete bridge.

Re: Russey Keo Bridge Opened for Temporary Use
The bridge looks perfect to be connected with the end of the Sihanoukville Highway, the gap is only 15 kms, i am not sure this is the plan from the big man, but logically it should be, but ofcourse, whats logic in PP !! ?? Curious i would not yet on life-support when those 15 kms are connected, hahaha

Your contention is lacking any logic.Bongmab69 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 2:49 am The bridge looks perfect to be connected with the end of the Sihanoukville Highway, the gap is only 15 kms, i am not sure this is the plan from the big man, but logically it should be, but ofcourse, whats logic in PP !! ?? There's already a 4 lane road from the Expressway to the bridge at Prek Pnov giving easy access to the stadium area and the top of Chroy Changvar and connecting to NR 6
Re: Russey Keo Bridge Opened for Temporary Use
