Timely Intervention by Police in Sihanoukville Kidnap

Cambodia News, (Sihanoukville): It has been reported that the Sihanoukville Gendarmerie made a timely intervention at 7:50 a.m. on May 27, 2023, where a man was being forced into a car by four men in black, in front of a hotel in Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville.

As a result, four Chinese men have been taken into custody by military police. The gang of four told police that they were just helping a drunk friend to get into their car to take him home, but he refused to cooperate so they had to push him.

Among other personal effects, a handgun with a charger and eight bullets was confiscated from the Chinese men. The Provincial Gendarmerie confirmed that the investigation into the episode is on-going and that the suspects will continue to be questioned.

And to think around 5 or 6 years ago I would defend against anyone calling it by that description!

And if anyone thinks the online gambling/scams have ceased think again! Maybe a lot less, but just more hidden than before!
