John Cleese Says He Would Like to be a Cambodian Policewoman

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

I saw him at a Cambridge uni doing a talk. He’s a very dull man.
Don’t listen to Chinese whispers.

A text book case of False Consciousness.

Classical Marxist comedians like Lenin, Engels and Cleese have always had an underdeveloped political consciousness of oppression on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and race.
They tend to misperceive their real position in society and systematically misunderstand their genuine interests within the social relations of production under capitalism.
False consciousness denotes people’s inability to recognise inequality, oppression, and exploitation in a capitalist society because of the prevalence within it of views that naturalise and legitimise the existence of social classes.

Imo, he is just another secret capitalist inroader intent on entrenching the class divides like every other Pom that ever went to that bastion of imperial domination - Oxford University
boo hiss la guillotine la guillotine

I tried to explain all this to Cleese years ago. it's obviously too late now...

He went to Cambridge, not Oxford.

All over Cambodia, ladyboys and lady cops are consoling each other, many weeping openly on the streets after hearing the vicious and spiteful remarks of an aging British celebrity. Is there no end to this man's cruelty?

Interesting video but not for the subject matter. Did anyone watch this and, like me, see overtones of Tucker Carlson?
I would be curious to know if the original script points were run through an AI with the instruction to rephrase/reword/produce a script in the style of Tucker Carlson, though it will never be admitted

As for the original video clip I think the last line sums up the current state of affairs perfectly.
symbolic of his struggle against reality
