Cambodia News (France)- 5 May 2023: A Cambodian living in France has completed a 2302-kilometer cycling event in 40 days to celebrate Cambodia hosting the 2023 SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games. The man is Pho Phalla and lives in Paris, France. According to a post on his personal Facebook account, Pho Phalla said he has completed a 40-day bike ride from 26 March to 4 May 2023 around Paris and provinces in France with his bicycle, that was "made in Cambodia".

On 25 January 2023, when he learned that Cambodia was hosting the SEA Games and counting down the 100 days, Pho Phalla set a goal of cycling 2023 km in 40 days, since 2023 is the year in which Cambodia hosts the SEA Games.

He said that he started cycling from 26 March 2023 until 4 May 2023, mostly cycling in Paris around the city and occasionally to the provinces. After free time from work, Mr. Phalla only rides his bicycle as a volunteer without any sponsorship.

It should also be noted that Mr. Pho Phalla came to stay in France at the end of 2021 with his Cambodian diplomatic family, and will return to Cambodia at the end of his mission. Cycling is his favorite sport.
