Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey): On 3 May 2023, the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Gendarmerie sent six Thai suspects to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Prosecutor's Office for questioning and legal action, in connection with drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.

The six men were arrested on 1 May 2023 in front of MIX CLUB Club in Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province, and their details are as follows:
1- Name: Thithivuth Surivong, alias Gate, Male, 29 years old, Thai, Occupation: Salesman
2- Name: Phichivat Yung Khun (aka Ang), male, 25 years old, Thai nationality.
3- Name: Chak Nak, Chai Loeung, Socharen, alias Fem, Male, 29 years old, Thai, Occupation: Worker.
4- Name: Tra Yut Keo Sopha (aka Chham), Male, 29 years old, Thai, Occupation is not real.
5- Name: Nam Thak Pakvin Khong Sam Si (aka Am), Male, 23 years old, Thai, Occupation: Salesman.
6- Name is Channalin, Chan Vern Lat, alias Art, Male, 23 years old, Thai, Occupation: Salesman.
All six Thai nationals live in O'Chrov village, Sangkat O'Chrov, Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey province. The men list their occupation as "salesman", and indeed, their main source of income appears to come from importing drugs and weapons from Thailand for sale in Cambodia.


After the arrest, the military police confiscated the following exhibits:
- 103 packs of "ice" (methamphetamine) weighing 246.1 grams.
- 1174 red(WY) pills,weighing 148.7 grams.
- 1 large packet of white transparent powder (K), small bag, weight 4.99 grams.
- 119 small wraps of transparent white powder in gold (K) package, weight 178.8 g.
- Purple tablets (ecstasy), weight 2.29 grams.
- 1 package of brown powder weighing 17.12 grams.
- 42 packs of dried marijuana, 1217.5 grams.
- Scales for weighing drugs.
- 1 pistol brand EKOOL JAKAL DUALCOMPACT
- 2 motorcycles.
- 9 mobile phones
- other weapons
- other drugs and items
