Cambodia News, (Svay Rieng Province): The Svay Rieng Provincial Gendarmerie sent four suspects to the Svay Rieng Provincial Prosecutor's Office charged with illegal possession and trafficking of drugs, on the morning of May 5, 2023. The four men are Vietnamese nationals:
1. Nguyen Duc Khan, male, 29 years old, Vietnamese, transport occupation, currently residing in Group 2 Village, Ben Cau Commune, Ben Cau District, Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam.

2. Name: Yanh Ngoc Thoy, Male, 17 years old, Nationality: Vietnamese, Occupation: Transport, Currently living in a rented room in Bavet Kandal Village, Sangkat Bavet, Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province.

3. Name: Panh Ngiep Toeung, Male, 31 years old, Vietnamese, Currently living in a rented room in Bavet Kandal Village, Sangkat Bavet, Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province.

4. Name: Trung Van Toeng, Male, 28 years old, Nationality: Vietnamese, Uncertain occupation, Currently living in a rented room in Bavet Kandal Village, Sangkat Bavet, Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province.

According to the source, at 10:00 on May 2, 2023, the specialized force of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Svay Rieng Provincial Gendarmerie cooperated with the Bavet City Gendarmerie to crack down on a known case of drug trafficking and use, which was going on in front of Venus Casino in Bavet Kandal Village, Bavet City.

Police seized various packets of powder and pills bagged up for sale: green pills, 34 packs of white powder, 1 pack of blue powder, and also, drug scales, 4 motorcycles, 9 mobile phones, packaging materials and some other drug paraphernalia.
