Vietnamese Man Falls to his Death in Bavet, Svay Rieng
Another young Vietnamese man has died in Bavet city under obscure circumstances, after falling off the roof of a 4th floor building.***
Cambodia News, (Svay Rieng Province): The death of a foreign man was reported this morning, at 10:55am on May 1, 2023, at a rented house in Ta Bip village, Bavet commune, Bavet city, Svay Rieng province. Villagers told the local authorities that they saw a man fall from the roof of a 4th floor apartment building, without knowing the reason for the fall.
According to the police, the property belongs to Leng Leang Soeun, male, 37 years old, in Ta Bip Village, Bavet Commune, Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province, and the dead man was identified as NGUYEN VAN CONG HAU, 29, a Vietnamese national, registered as a resident of Ngoc Dong village, Win Phuoc province, Vietnam. The young man died instantly from the impact of the fall.
Sources said that after receiving the information, the police immediately went to cordon off the body and examine the scene. Authorities confirmed that the cause of death is not yet known, as police are still investigating and waiting for the competent experts and doctors to complete the autopsy.
*** Please note:
Most of these "unexplained" deaths involve Vietnamese nationals and are linked to Bavet city casinos ( located on the Cambodian-Vietnamese border), and are believed to be connected to organized criminal syndicates, both national and international.
There are rumors that human trafficking, kidnap and extortion, and unpaid gambling debts, are behind many or all of the following deaths reported on CEO over the past year.
However, invariably the Cambodian police investigations into these unexpected deaths conclude they are accidents or suicides. The competent authorities do not seem overly concerned about the high proportion of mostly young foreign nationals who are falling off buildings in Bavet City, and elsewhere in Cambodia.

Yo...yo...
So gambling addiction still a grave issue
Thuggish management, a gravity issue
Coming to Bavet at a grave holding a tissue
Families crying "we're going to miss you"
* passes the mic *
