Cambodia News,( Banteay Meanchey): The Anti-Drug Police Force of Poipet City Police Inspectorate arrested two men in connection with the distribution and use of illegal drugs in Kbal Spean 1 Village, Sangkat Poipet, Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province.

Colonel Sao Saroeun, Poipet City Police Inspector, said that on April 28, he received a call informing the police about a man selling drugs in front of the Granting Casino, and the anti-drug force went to arrest Oeun Dara, a 26-year-old Cambodian man, who had a small amount of drugs on him, ready for sale.


The inspector added that later that night, at 00:20 on April 29, 2023, the forces detained another suspect, Chu Chheak, a 41-year-old Cambodian man, who was in possession of a larger quantity of drugs. In the second drug raid, the police team found 1 large bag and some smaller bags of drugs suspected to be crystal methamphetamine, 4 bags containing a total of 1,200 red WY pills, and 12 green pills.
The two men appeared in court on 30 April.
