Ex-Convict for Murder Released and Rearrested for Drugs

Cambodia News (Pursat Province): On the morning of April 29, 2023, the anti-drug police of Pursat province arrested an ex-convict who had previously been tried and convicted for murder. This time, Ut Sreng, a 37-year-old man. was arrested for trafficking drugs at a rented room in Bak Rotes village, Sangkat Prey Nhi, Pursat province.
The other suspect was his wife, Von Chreb, a 25-year-old woman, who fled the scene. The police seized 0.50g of drugs, 1 phone, 1 motorbike, and 1 ID card. The suspect and the evidence were held in custody for further proceedings.

The guy is 37 years old and convicted of murder?

Assuming he served his sentence at Prey Sar, how did he get out so early?

And how did he convince a 20 something lady to marry him and join him in the lifestyle?

That's not trafficking, it's personal use. He probably got addicted while in prison.

They probably added that zero that make it sound like a lot.
I suppose 0.50g is no where near as bad as 0.500g.
