Suicide Shooting at Borey Phnom Penh Thmey

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): In Phnom Penh last night, at around 7 pm on April 23, 2023, a case of suicide by shooting was reported to the Por Senchey police.

Local residents said that an unidentified person shot themself with a handgun outside the Borey Phnom Penh Thmey, near Wat Ang Taminh in Khan Por Sen Chey, Phnom Penh. No further details have been released yet.

It seems that he died in hospital.

A military officer who pulled out a shotgun and wounded himself is now dead.

Phnom Penh: A military officer who was angry with his brother-in-law for scolding him for being drunk at a party, pulled out a pistol and fired two shots at the sky, at 7:30 pm on April 23, 2023, along the concrete road near Ang Taminh pagoda, Kork Chambok village, Sangkat Choam Chao I, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh. The military officer then left the family reunion, where he had been drinking heavily, and rode off on his motorcycle to his house, where he got off the bike and shot himself just outside the front door. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The deceased was identified as Teng Kheang, 35, a military officer with the National Anti-Terrorism Special Forces Command, who lived at the house where the shooting took place.
