3 Wat Phnom Pick-Pockets Nabbed with 15 Phones

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Three male suspects were arrested at 2:50 pm on April 16, 2023, by Daun Penh district police after stealing 15 mobile phones, necklaces and money from people visiting the New Year temple in Wat Phnom, Phnom Penh. Police officers nabbed the thieves at the scene with the bag of stolen goods.

The victims said that before the incident, they were spraying water and dancing happily at Wat Phnom, when three male suspects pretended to spray water and powder on women and men and then took the opportunity to steal their phones, necklaces and money.

After a while, many victims, both men and women, went to the police office, that sent out a patrol team who caught the three suspects holding a bag and counting the phones. In all, police recovered 15 mobile phones as well as some chains and money.

What they need is a damned good thrashing. Something that leaves them moving very slowly for a decade or two.
