Does anyone know the English language name of this melon? In Khmer it is "rice melon"/"Rice cucumber", trasak sraov.

Thanks

That was tricky.
Hours later. I was investigating exotic cucumbers, but it's actually a melon.
I was leaning toward a Chinese yellow cucumber, then a malabar cucumber, but

and then I finally found it !

There are many varieties of Cucumis melon, and many are yellow.
The one in that photo is probably what’s called oriental/chinese/korean

This source calls it Korean

It makes sense that ‘orientals’ would name it differently.

Hi Thank you both for your help, and that was an amazing effort @Anchor Moy . I am not sure if it actually is the Yellow Cucumis melon, or at least not the one that @violet posted because the inside of the melon is green, not yellow. See this pic:

I'm actually sending pics from two different locations. I'll send a picture of the second location, but the outside is a mixture of orange and green. It actually looks more like the "Malabar Cucumber" on the outside (at least in your picture) but I assume the Malabar Cucumber is really like a cucumber inside in terms of its text and fruit? (not like a melon)

Well. Goodness me. Be careful what you search for.

I tried multiple search options to see if anything came up to help identify your melon. All went well, although with no success, until I reached my final search.

While the penultimate search of long yellow melon green flesh was fine.

Searching on

long melon green flesh

Returned very different images. [contains adult content]

Hmmm then the search worked as it should. Ignore me!

Here's the picture of the melon from a different location. As I said it's like a green and orange at the same time.

Searching on your term Violet, I found these two varieties of Long Thai Melon (Green and yellow varieties). Given the proximity to Thailand, the tendency to use Thai seeds, and similarity in appearance, I would say this is it:

I did not notice any adult content! : )
