Sending cash money in insured letter

Post by Dario »

Anybody done that?
I'm in Buenos Aires and my dolares are running out. With money transfer you usually get pesos that you don't want since on the parallel exchange market, it's called dolar blue, you get almost twice as many pesos compared to official rate.
Which makes life in Argentina incredibly cheap.

Check the insurance. I think, not certain, that money is excluded from cover.

It's not uncommon. Also US insurers do it.
I am just completely new to this, am hoping someone will share his experiences.
