Cambodia News, (Sihanoukville): On the night of March 1, 2023, a young woman was stabbed to death in front of a factory in the Che Cheang Special Economic Zone in Trapeang Kea village, Cheung Ko commune, Prey Nob district, Sihanoukville province.

According to the police report, the victim, 22-year-old Seak Seavly, a factory worker, who currently lives in a rented room in Trapeang Kea village, was leaving her work at the factory, when her boyfriend, Lot Mok, 31, a factory worker, attacked her with a knife and stabbed her to death.

The suspect has escaped and is being actively sought by the specialized force of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police, in cooperation with the Prey Nup District Police Force. An arrest is expected soon. For the moment, no reason has been put forward to explain the deliberate killing of the young woman.

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On 7 March 2023, the criminal police force of the Ministry of Interior Phnom Penh, in cooperation with the criminal police of Preah Sihanouk province, arrested a man in connection with the murder of his girlfriend, on 1 March 2023, in front of the factory "Be Chive" in the Che Cheang Special Economic Zone in Trapeang Kea village in Cheung Ko commune, Prey Nob district, Sihanoukville province.

According to the competent authorities, the suspect was named 31 years old Lot Mok, a factory worker currently living in a rented room in Trapeang Kea village, Cheung Ko commune, Prey Nob district, Sihanoukville province. He was arrested a week after the crime, by Phnom Penh police in front of a construction site along National Road 3 in Sangkat Pleung Cheh Roret, Khan Kampoul, Phnom Penh.

The victim was a 22-year-old female factory worker named Siek Seavly, who was also living in a rented room in Trapeang Kea village, Cheung Ko commune, Prey Nob district, Preah Sihanouk province.


After his arrest, the suspect, Lot Mok, confessed that he had stabbed his girlfriend out of jealousy, after he had been drinking, because she was sleeping in a separate room from him.
Currently, the above suspect has been handed over by the police force of the Criminal Department of the Ministry of Interior to the Sihanoukville Provincial Police
