Cambodia News: According to the broadcast of TVK on March 2, 2023, Professor Claude Dumurgier, one of the founding fathers of Cambodian surgery, passed away on February 23, 2023 at 22:00 in Paris, France.

It was with great sadness that Cambodian doctors and medical students paid tribute to Professor Claude Dumurgier at Wat Preah Puth Mean at 8 am on Thursday, March 2, 2023, to express their gratitude and condolences.

Professor Claude Dumurgier arrived in Cambodia in 1993, and worked as a surgeon at Calmette Hospital until 2002. He is a key figure in the training of Cambodian doctors and students in the field of surgery, and he dedicated much time and effort training and establishing specialized surgical classes for Cambodian students.

During his career in Cambodia, Professor Dumurgier strengthened the relationship between the French and Cambodian medical corps, and his loss is a great loss for everyone, the loss of a good teacher, and the loss of a great colleague.
