Fire at Prince Central Plaza in Phnom Penh

Cambodia News: A preliminary news report says that on the afternoon of February 25, 2023, fire services were called out to extinguish a fire which broke out in an apartment in the condominium building in Prince Plaza Center, Preah Street. Norodom, Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh.

Cambodia news, (Phnom Penh): At 13:40 on February 25, 2023, a fire broke out in the ECC-EASTVIEW condominium building near Prince Plaza Center, next to Blvd. Preah Norodom in Village 10, Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkar Morn, causing a large amount of material damage.

Colonel Prohm Yorn, director of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Office, said that after receiving information about the fire in the condominium building, he ordered special forces to intervene, and the outbreak was extinguished in time to prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.

Colonel Prohm Yorn added that the fire broke out in room C1508 on the 15th floor, that the cause of the fire was an electrical fault, and no one was injured in the blaze. The Colonel continued that in thefire-fighting operation required 12 fire trucks from the Phnom Penh Municipal Police.
