Correlation between IQ and taking the vaccine?

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

the correlation between people who take vaccines and IQ is most likely inversely proportional.

Is their supporting evidence which might suggest that those who took the vaccine, in general have a lower IQ level than those who did not?
Bye!
It’s probably the opposite
The question is posed knowing there will be nothing, and this feels like just another one of those barely disguised efforts to engage people on a debate where considerations of you and I are of absolutely no interest to the Type who instead want yet another venue to tell everyone else how stupid he/she/it thinks they are because their agenda is not unreservedly adopted.

Some people are going to be disappointed to discover that Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh researchers reported a U-shaped correlation between vaccine hesitancy and education level.

They concluded people with PhDs were not only the most skeptical about getting vaccinated but are also the least likely to change their minds about it "People with a PhD are the most hesitant when it comes to getting the Covid-19 vaccine, according to a paper by researchers from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh.

Researchers surveyed just over five million US adults in an online survey, with 10,000 reporting that they were educated to PhD level. The report showed a surprising U-shaped correlation between willingness to get a Covid vaccine and education level - with the highest hesitancy among those least and most educated. The researchers did not offer an explanation as to why so many people with PhDs were vaccine hesitant, and the paper noted that 'further investigation into hesitancy among those with a PhD is warranted'.

But some people will also have a smug grin. :hattip:

Why is it that the unvaccinated are always talking about intelligence, and now IQ levels, when it comes to being vaccinated or not? Are they that self-conscience about themselves?

I find it saddening & concerning that so many still defend the 'vaccine'.

It's worth remembering covid has been around forever & ever. It did not suddenly spring up to destroy humankind.

The stubborn clot shot lovers are happy to ignore logic & just do as their told. A sad state of affairs.

Some are now on 5 jabs! That blows my mind too considering governments ceased their advertising campaigns & free kebab gifts.

Just the Dunning-Kruger effect tbh.
There are important conversations about virus research and the mNRA vaccines that need to be had but they should not be led by the anti-vaxxer crowd.

Gain-of-function research for one. Yes, in theory it would be nice to pre-empt nature and see what a virus variant would do but given lab leaks are staple of tons of zombie movies and actual real instances where viruses have escaped from a lab the risks, to a layman, far outweigh the benefits.
And having pharmaceutical companies doing gain-of-function research should horrify everyone, no matter their IQ. Create the problem to sell the cure... yeah... no thanks!
But the gain of function genie has been released from his lamp and once these things are out they never get put back.

One thing is for sure. We dodged the bullet with COVID-19. Its the next one I worry about. The one with a 35%+ confirmed mortality rate. Let's see how many anti-vaxxers stick to their guns when that virus arrives.

It's great how the anti-vaxxers have matured and are no longer ranting about 5G chips, Bill Gates genocide, Chinese bio warfare, worming-tablets etc. That's a step forward.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Having re-read my post after I hit submit, I have an interesting question for the anti-vaxxers that is related to the statement I made at the end of the post.

Are people who are against the COVID jabs against all vaccines or just the covid-19 ones?
The premise being they believe the COVID vaccine was unnecessary due to their belief that COVID wasn't that lethal (for them).
