Facebook rants gets Cambodian abducted/beaten in Pattaya

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

In the early hours of Thursday, Pattaya Police received information regarding a Cambodian restaurant worker who had been abducted and then taken to a remote location and then assaulted by three men who are believed to work for his previous employer.

Police and medics located Mr. Win aged 51, in a remote area in the Na-Jomtien area just before 3.30am. He was in pain and told Police that he had been abducted from the Pirate Beach Bar in Jomtien by three men he recognized from his previous place of employment, a hot-pot restaurant also in Jomtien.

Mr. Win revealed that he was fired from his previous job 2 months ago and decided to vent his anger through abusive posts on Facebook. He suspects that his previous employer planned the abduction and assault in revenge for the hateful comments.

Police are now searching for the attackers and will question his previous employer in relation to the incident.
