An enterprising idea for cashing in on Cambodia's cashews: cashew milk.
With the increasing numbers of consumers who are looking to replace dairy products for health reasons, there should be an international market ripe for alternatives such as cashew milk.

Cashew Nut Milk Provides Many Health Benefits
AKP Phnom Penh, January 30, 2023 --
Cashew nut milk is a popular non-dairy beverage that can substitute cow’s milk in most recipes, according to the USAID Greening Prey Lang’s news release dated Jan. 29.

“It is made from whole cashews and water giving a creamy, rich consistency and is loaded with vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and other benefits derived from plant compounds,” the source explained.
These benefits include boosting immunity and improving heart, eye and skin health, it pointed out.

USAID Greening Prey Lang is supporting some communities in Kampong Thom province to have cashew plantation with zero deforestation contracts.
