Parked Prius in Phnom Penh Explodes into Fireball

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A Toyota Prius car exploded and was almost completely burnt down, leaving only the skeleton at 3:40 am on January 29, 2023, along the concrete road, Sangkat Tumnup Teuk, Khan Boeung Keng Kang. The car caught fire and exploded while parked outside the owner's house, waking up the whole neighborhood.

According to a man at the scene, the car stopped in front of the house, the man who owned the car went inside, when suddenly the sound of explosions were heard coming from the car which became a huge fireball. Fire trucks arrived at the scene and pulled out fire hoses for about half an hour to put out the fire completely.

It is believed that the fire was caused by an electrical fault in the Prius. The blaze was spectacular, but the fire was contained to the vehicle and nobody was injured.
