Drug Addict Burns Down House in Battambang Village

Cambodia News (Battambang): On 26 January 2023, police officers of Rattanak Mondul District arrested a drug addict for burning a house down at Group 3, Ta Krok Village, Treng Commune. Rattanak Mondul District, Battambang Province.
Rattanak Mondul district police said that the suspect is 34 years old Yong Vet, alias Va, residing in Ta Krok village, Treng commune, Rattanak Mondul district, Battambang province, and the homeowner is 37-year-old Tan Sok Mesa, who is living in Kamakor village, Svay Por commune, Battambang city.

According to the police, the victim’s wooden house measured 4 m x 12 m, with corrugated iron sheets, and the cost damage caused by the fire was evaluated at about US$ 7,500.

Currently, the above suspect has been sent to the Battambang Provincial Police to build a case to be sent to court for legal proceedings.
