Cambodia News, (Kandal Province): On January 17, 2022 at 1:20pm, a male drug addict who noticed that the door was open, entered a house in Takhmao City, Kandal Province. He went inside, and rifled through some drawers in the house until he found a wad of khmer riel tied with a plastic band. The thief seized the money and ran out of the house, but he was seen by the houseowner, Horm Srey Kim, a 29 year old woman, who shouted "Jao!" (Thief!) and chased after him.

Unfortunately, the woman tripped over and hurt herself, but by that time the neighbors had heard the shouting, and they chased the escaping thief until they caught him.

The man was captured by the villagers and delivered to the local police station. He was found with the wad of 600,000 riel notes that he had stolen from the victim's house, and this was returned to her by the police.
The suspect is currently being detained with the Takhmao City Police Inspector to build a case file.
