Hi guys, so I'm on a disability pension. I'm well under 55. I didn't apply for the ER visa because of the 55 years old rule. I wanted to be on the ER visa. I don't have 6000 bucks in the bank, but I have my bank statements showing my fortnightly pension. I guess I was embarrassed to tell the visa agent about my disability and being on a pension so young. I think I'd probably need a letter or something from the Australian consulate, to help my claim, if I try to get an ER visa. So does anyone know of anyone who has successfully got an ER visa before 55?. Thanks for the info, I'm going to tell my visa agent and see what she says.
Plenty of under 55 year olds have successfully obtained ER EOS's. Official Proof of your disability pension status and bank statements will be sufficient.

For someone under 55 years old who isn't officially retired yet (i.e. doesn't have proof of any kind of pension, just savings or income from renting out properties), but doesn't plan to work in Cambodia, is it still possible to basically write a letter saying "I am retired" instead? Or do you need something a little bit more sophisticated than that?

As the EB extensions seem to become more difficult for someone who doesn't actually work in Cambodia, I'd like to explore that as an alternative.

Set up a bank account in Your country and start regular payments marked pension. That could be the payments from
those rental properties.

Get all kinds of paperwork that has a recent photo imbedded into the paper. Not sure embedded is the correct word.
The more paper the better
